Lilian Bettenbender Ryan, 82
BETHANY BEACH - Lilian Bettenbender Ryan of Bethany Beach, formerly of Annandale, Va., died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 82.
Mrs. Ryan was a retired vice president of Slenderella.
She was a veteran of World War II serving as a wave in the U.S. Navy.
Mrs. Ryan was a member of the Church's Sodality and a member of American Legion Post 24.
She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Ryan; a son and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Valerie Spiegelblatt; a granddaughter, Jessica; two grandsons, Joshua and Henry; several nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Bethany Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue in Ocean View.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bethany Beach.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of ones choice.
