Leotis Blocker, 62

DOVER - Leotis Blocker of Dover died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 62.

Mr. Blocker was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Washington County, Ga., son of the late Evelyn Blocker.

He attended school in Washington, and worked in construction for many years.

Mr. Blocker lived life to the fullest and loved telling jokes. Spending time with family and friends was precious to him. His hobbies included watching sports on television, playing cards, listening to music and traveling. His pride and joy was his red car that he cleaned daily regardless of the weather.

He is survived by his loving wife of three and a half years, Gloria Blocker of Dover; a son, Leotis Blocker Jr. of Dover; two daughters and a son-in-law; Kenoshia and David Alexander of Columbia, S.C. and Dolora Blocker of Dover; a step-daughter, Tanya Martin; three stepsons, Daren Martin, John Martin Jr. and Tyrone Martin, all of Dover; three brothers and three daughters-in-law, Sammie and Jeanette Blocker of Miami, Nathan and Shirley Harris of Tennille, Ga. and Johnnie and Penelope Harris of Dover; two sisters, Pearlie Martin and Mary Coverdale, both of Dover; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nelson and her husband, Gary of Dover, Cynthia Swain and Doreen Swain, both of Desota, Ga.; two brothers-in-law, Claude Henry and Willie Swain, both of Dover; an uncle, Ardro Johnson of Bristol, Pa.; an aunt, Zora Lee Brown of Sandersville, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Arianna Tolson and Terrance Johnson Jr., both of Dover, Kiara Alexander and Kiana Alexander, both of Columbia, Ni"Aoni Blocker and Arione Street, both of Milford and DeVante Blocker of Smyrna; Emmanuel Martin and C.C. Martin were his heart; seven step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bibleway Chuch of God in Christ where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Dover.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
