Born 8/11/1932 to Lena and William S. Biddle – Felton, Delaware
Graduated from Harrington High School. Upon graduation she attended Goldey College in Wilmington, DE. She worked at O.A. Newton & Son Company as a secretary from December 1950 to November 1953. In November 1953, she married Ward H. Kelly of Sudlersville. She worked for Andelot, Inc. Worton, MD from April 1954 to October 1960. From October 1961 to December 1996, she worked as an Executive Secretary at Playtex Products, Inc. Upon retirement, she worked part time for nine years. She was a long-time member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she did volunteer work.
She has one son, Mark H. Kelly, and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kelly; two granddaughters, Heather (Marco) Gonzalez and Kimberly (Prem) Patel of Aberdeen, NC; great granddaughters, Mya Gonzalez (1 yr.) and Jackson Patel (2 yrs.).
She is also survived by one sister, Leona Steen of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by mother, Lena Drake Biddle; Father, William S. Biddle; two brothers, William L. Biddle, and Leon T. Biddle and one sister, Florence Kitchen.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private.
