FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Leonard J. Riccio 85, died at his home near Federalsburg on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006.

Mr. Riccio was born in Stroudsburg, Pa., son of the late John Leonard and Lucy (DePalma) Riccio.

He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of 30 years retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.

Mr. Riccio was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford, Del., the American Legion, Kings Solomon Lodge A. F. & A. M. in Greenwich, R.I. and a member of the Fleet Reserve 42 in North Kingston, R.I.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Lee and Mary Riccio.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth S. Thomas Riccio; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rosie and Jim Mueller of Federalsburg and Patricia Gibson of Key West, Fla.; a son and a daughter-in-law, John and Judy Riccio of North Kingston; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Wednesday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Seaford. The Rev. Jean Kirby will officiate.

Burial will follow in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Bonnie Hilghman Cancer Fund, c/o Mid-Shore Community Foundation, 102 East Dover St., Easton, MD 21601; or Alzheimer's Association Eastern Chapter, 212 Bay St., Easton, MD 21601.
