DOVER, Del. - Leo Reuben Jackson passed away on January 11, 2022 after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Leo was born June 27, 1954 to the late Norman (Lefty) C. & Louie May Jackson.
Leo graduated from Cape Henlopen High School class of 1972. He worked in construction for many years and retired in 2015 to spend time with his family. Leo was known for his sense of humor, his love for the outdoors, and his loving acts of service to everyone. Leo enjoyed hunting, cooking, and classic cars. He also strongly believed in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved his family above all else and his grandchildren brought him so much joy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Christina Jackson; his daughters, Tabitha Roberts and her husband, Scott, Tiffany Winterstine and her husband, David, and Ashley Jackson and her partner, Robert Wood; his grandchildren, Joshua, Peyton, Ryker, Landon & Lillian. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Norman Jackson of Milton Delaware, Susan Todd (Wayne) of Georgetown, Delaware, Norma Jackson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Connie Bailey (Richard) of Ellendale, Delaware, Patsy Flanagan (Gene) of Felton, Delaware, Pauline Brown (Dwayne) of Milton, Delaware, Mark Jackson of Milton, Delaware, Kenneth Jackson (Patricia) of Salisbury, Maryland, Thomas Jackson (Teri) of Delmar, Maryland, Mary Lou Allen of Onaway, Michigan, Alan Jackson of Milton, Delaware; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, DE 19968, where friends may call after 6 p.m. There will be an opportunity to share your memories of Leo during the service. Mask required.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Leo's honor to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation www.pulmonary- fibrosis.org.
