OCEAN VIEW - Leanor Murray Smith, age 91, of Ocean View, passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010. She was born in Jersey City, N.J. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Thomas and Delaphine Rogers. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, David Murray and Frank Smith; her son, Grant Murray Sr; brothers, Gardener Rogers, Alton Rogers, Nick Rogers, and Howard Rogers; and sister, Marguerite Prince. She is survived by her loving family, sister, Delaphine Vogel; son, Neil Murray Sr. and his wife Yvonne; daughter-in-law, Bernice Murray; seven grandchildren, Susan Stewart and husband Steve, Grant Murray Jr., Betsy Parsons, Cristy Stoeckel and her husband Danny, Cathy Tripp and her husband Harvey, Neil Murray Jr. and his wife Debbie, and JoAnna Evans and her husband JS; 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Leanor was a homemaker. She attended Mariner's Bethel U.M. Church in Ocean View, and was attributed to starting a Sunday school class many years ago. She was also a member of the Red Hat's Society. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Mariner's Bethel U.M. Church in Ocean View, with a viewing one-hour before and burial in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you make a contribution to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or Mariner's Bethel U.M.
