Layton Davis, 87 MILLSBORO - Layton Davis, age 87, of Millsboro, passed away on Feb. 15, 2010, at the Atlantic Shores Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Millsboro. Layton owned and operated Layton Davis Texaco for 58 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran, who loved rabbit hunting and fishing. He loved an enjoyed being around people, and was a jovial person. He was truly devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Street Davis. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice B. Davis, of Millsboro; daughters, Krucita Hopkins and husband William of Millsboro, and Sonja Ames and husband Robert of Milton; brothers, Walter Davis of Millsboro, William Davis of Millsboro, and Albert Davis of Summerdale N.J.; sisters, Annie George of Millsboro, and Cherita Davis of Portland Ore.; a special sister-in-law, Leolga, he thought of as a daughter; and special nephew, Tyler, who he thought of as a grandson. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and extended family. A Funeral Service will be noon, Monday, Feb. 22, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Rev. Claudia Waters will officiate. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
