DOVER, DE - Lawrence William Mola, Jr. passed away suddenly October 2, 2022. Larry was born February 8, 1966 in Norwalk, Ct., the son of Lawrence Sr. & Maria Banks.
Larry was passionate about music, theater, his chosen profession of meat cutter and his family. He played guitar, attended blues jams with his friends and family and loved all music but especially the Beatles. Larry studied acting in Manhattan, NYC at the Sally Johnson studio with Michael Beckett. He fell ill while practicing his theater craft as a member of the Kent County Theatre Guild. When not working, he enjoyed history, watching the nightly news and spending time with his wife, dogs & family. He loved jewelry and shoes.
Larry was a butcher for over 30 years, first with Whole Foods Inc. and later for the Witt family. For the past 7 years, he and Phyllis Spiering have owned and operated the Camden-Wyoming Market where he enjoyed helping the community with their needs and taking care of his loyal employees. Larry is an award-winning butcher, placing third in a competition of 350 butchers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Mola, Sr. He is survived by his friend and spouse, Carol Albi; his children, Elysa Ann Mola, Peter Berrios, Gabriella Berrios & Danielle Foraker; his mother, Maria Banks; three siblings, Pamela Sebastian, Jeffrey Mola & Jennifer Mola; a father-in-law, Dominick Albi; his business partner, Phyllis; his beloved Yorkies, Nick & Gracie; nieces, nephews; a best friend, Jerry Delli Paoli; extended family and friends.
His Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, October 9, 2022 where he loved to jam at Jonathan's Landing, 1309 Ponderosa Drive, Magnolia, DE 19962. Service at 3 pm followed by music, fellowship and remembrance until 7 pm.
