HARRINGTON - Lavenia R. Roop, 91, of Harrington, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 19, 1924 in Delaware to the late David and Katherine Reynolds. Mrs. Roop was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Md. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Roop; and son, Richard Roop. She is survived by her sons, David Roop of Harrington and Harry Roop of Salisbury, Md.; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren. A Funeral service for Mrs. Roop will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
