CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Kenneth R. Burns, of Chestertown, died on Dec. 18, 2008, in Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown. He was 78. He is survived by his wife Mary Catherine (Canu) Burns; children, Theresa Meadows and her husband Bill Richard Burns and his wife Amy, Linda Singer and her husband Matt, and Mary Joyce Burns and her husband Antonio Botticella; six grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Baldwin, Rita Williams and Jane DeBoer; along with a brother, Ronald Burns A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church High St. Chestertown, Md. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, Md. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Rock Hall, Md.
