Kenneth Glanden, 80 MAGNOLIA - Kenneth Glanden, of Magnolia, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 80. He was born on June 27, 1928, in Dover, to the late Harry and Priscilla Glanden Sr. Mr. Glanden was a life member of the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co. He was Mayor of Magnolia from 1976 to 1980. He retired from International Playtex in 1986 after 41 years of service. Mr. Glanden enjoyed making custom fishing poles and fishing, gardening, camping, hunting, loving his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen D. Glanden of Magnolia; daughter, Linda Pardee of Magnolia; son and his wife, Kenneth V. and Robin Glanden of Newark; granddaughter and her husband, Kristy and Ryan Wayson of Virginia; granddaughter and her husband, Stacy and Michael Norland of Magnolia; grandson, George Pardee III of Dover; great-grandsons, Ethan and Zachary Wayson; great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Pardee and Rebecca Norland; brothers and their wives, Harry and Mabel Glanden Jr. of Willow Grove, Robert and Eva Mae Glanden of Willow Grove, and Paul and Marian Glanden of Florida. Remembrance services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
