MILTON - Kenneth A. "Kenny" Sherman, age 75, of Milton, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in his home. Kenneth was born in Milton, son of the late Arthur W. and Dorothy Elizabeth (Warrington) Sherman. He worked as a Toll Ticket Taker for the Delaware River and Bay Authority with the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Lewes Terminal, since its beginning. He retired in 1999 after 35 years of service. Kenny enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a member of the Grace Church, in Milton. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, John Sherman; and a sister, Violet Murray. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley (Warrington) Sherman; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Millie Sherman of Greenwood; a sister, Jeanette Parr; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, in the Grace Church, 514 Union Street, Milton, with visitation after 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to church's Building Fund.
