Kenji Caprice Adkins, 32

DOVER - Kenji Caprice Adkins, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover. He was 32. Kenji was born Sept. 11, 1977, in Dover, the son of Emma Adkins of Dover and Percy Johnson of Lincoln. Kenji worked as a hair designer in Dover. He was very creative with his hands and had a talent for making clothes, afghans, and various crafts for sale. He excelled in craftwork. Kenji was known to be an exceptional singer and also enjoyed dancing. He was very outgoing, had a great sense of humor, was very jovial and possessed a knack for pulling pranks on people. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends, with whom he enjoyed spending time with so much. He was preceded in death by a brother, Damon L. Adkins; and an aunt, Mary E. "Aunt Mary Locks" Adkins. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Charmaine N. Adkins of Dover and Sharon C. Conaway of Houston; and two nieces, Shakreia and Shaylen Conaway, also of Houston. Funeral services were held privately on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, by family and close friends at the Faries Funeral Chapel of Smyrna. Kenji was laid to rest in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
