DOVER - Kathryn (Kitty) Day Wall passed peacefully at home Thursday, March 11, 2021.
Kitty was born on August 4, 1929 in Harrisburg, Penn., the daughter of the late Ralph C. Day and Myrtle F. Day.
Kitty was a 1947 graduate of Dover High School, Dover. She was the captain of the Dover cheerleading squad and was very proud of her accomplishments at Dover and continued as such with the Dover High Alumni. She was a longtime employee of the Bell Telephone Company and active member of the Telecom Pioneers. After retiring, Kitty was a lien searcher in Kent County.
In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by her husband James A. Wall in 2006. Also, by her sister, Jane D. Sickeler, and her brother Ralph C. Day Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Jill Allison Baylis of Dover; and a grandson, Brice Baylis and wife Melanie of Magnolia; and great grandsons Declan and Cullen Baylis.
Kitty is also survived by very close nieces, nephews and many loyal and loving friends.
Arrangements are by the Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
Interment will be at the convenience of the family, in the Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice (Delawarehospice.org/donate), the Dover High Alumni Association (scholarship fund) at P.O. Box 1387 Dover, DE 19903 or the Telecom Pioneers Liberty Bell Chapter #6 at 119 West Pine St. Georgetown, DE 19947.
