Kathleen "Kathy" R. Coverdale passed away at Temple University in Philadelphia, on Friday, January 29, 2021.
Kathy was born in Wilmington, Del. to the late Benjamin H. and Ruth J. (Jarrell) Denham Sr. She loved the beach, flowers, her dog, Chewy and her grandchildren who were the love of her life. Kathy cherished her time at the Central Mennonite Church and their open arms and warmth.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Ann Larnerd; and her German Shepherd, Sammy.
She is survived by her son, Benjamin H. Coverdale and his wife Heather; siblings, Benjamin H. Denham Jr., Juniata Mae (Michael) Burke, Vivian (John) Isola, Lewis (Jeannie) Denham, and Mitchell Denham; grandchildren, Hailey Ann Coverdale, Hunter Garrett Coverdale, Kaitlyn Ruth Coverdale, and Austin Alexander Coverdale; devoted friends, Esther and Henry Mast; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, DE 19943, where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden. All those in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social gathering and distancing protocols.
