FREDERICA - Kathleen Magazu of Frederica, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home, Sunday November 2, 2014. She was 87. She was born July 7, 1927 in Wallace, North Carolina and spent a large part of her childhood in Franklin, Virginia where she was a member of the choir and well known for her vocal skills in which she performed at many social gatherings and public affairs. Mrs. Magazu was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Clarksboro, N.J. for ten years where she was a member of the church member association and organized church events and meals. She attended Longwood University College in Virginia, and was lead Avon representative for her region for many years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank Magazu, Sr. of Frederica; son, Frank Magazu, Jr. and his wife Jane of Millville, N.J.; daughter, Anna Jean Toms and her husband Ronald of Frederica; grandchildren, Kim White and her husband Keith of Magnolia, Frank Magazu, III and his wife Lisa of Millville, N.J., Robert Loth of Jacksonville, Fla., George and Cori Coulter of Millville, N.J.; great grandchildren, Keith and Alyssa White, Alyssa Magazu, Dana Coulter, Katie, Doug Jones, Allie and Garrett Coulter; brothers, William Blankenship and his wife Lena, Earl D. Blankenship and his wife Renee and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Milford Community Cemetery. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
