Kathleen Joan (Baker) Langley, 70

NEW CASTLE - Kathleen Joan (Baker) Langley of New Castle went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at her home. She was 70.

Born on Oct. 11, 1937, in Townsend, she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Kathryn (Guessford) Baker.

Kathleen loved her pets, gardening and especially her family.

She enjoyed going to the beach and taking her weekly trip to Wal-Mart.

Kathleen's family will always miss her smile and her laugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ray Langley, in 1969.

Kathleen is survived by four children, Lisa Haley, with whom she lived in New Castle, Christopher Ray Langley of Kissimmee, Fla., Jeffrey Lewis Langley of Odessa and Kitty Lynn Langley of Newark; one sister, Dorothy Manning of Millington, Md.; a brother, George Baker of Townsend; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where family and friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Langley will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Townsend Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mrs. Langley's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808; or to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
