Katherine F. 'Kathy' Unruh, 48

TOWNSEND - Katherine F. "Kathy" Unruh, of Townsend, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 48.

Born Jan. 6, 1960, in Wilmington, Kathy was the daughter of Ida Mae (Squares) Ford and the late Raymond T. Ford.

She was employed by Teleplan, New Castle, where she worked as a parts manager for the past eight years. She previously worked for ICI.

Kathy enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and having fun with all of her many nieces and nephews, especially her two great-nephews.

She will be greatly missed and loved by all of her family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Raymond T. Ford, in 1998.

She leaves many cherished memories to her loving husband of 29 years, Delbert Unruh; their two children, Del and Amber; her mother, Ida Mae Ford; three brothers, Tommy Ford and his wife Pam, Kenny Ford and Donald Ford and his wife Dawn; one sister, Cheryl Ford; and many loving nieces and nephews, especially Brandon and Chase.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, where family and friends may visit from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathy's memory to the Blackbird Community Center, 144 Blackbird Forest Road, Townsend, DE 19734.
