Karen Ann Patchett

LAUREL - Karen Ann Patchett, of Laurel, passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, in her home. She was 50. Karen was a School Bus Driver and Contractor. She enjoyed going to Go-Kart Races, Bingo, playing cards and board games, and crocheting. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Earl H. Wester; and brother, Jessie Wester. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Terrance "Terry" Patchett; two children, Penny Godwin and husband Derrick of Dagsboro, and Michael Patchett of Laurel; one grandson, Ivan Godwin; her mother, Carolyn Wester, Fla.; a sister, Linda Bowland of North Carolina; and brother, Allen Wester of Florida. A funeral service will be noon, Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Cokesbury Church, 15092 Cokesbury Rd., Georgetown, with visitation after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Junior Order Cemetery, Preston, Md.
