Karal Leroy O"Neal, 72
SMYRNA - Karal Leroy O"Neal of Smyrna, formerly of Darlington, Md., died Monday, July 23, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 72.
Mr. O"Neal was born June 16, 1935, in Chaneysville, Pa., son of the late Marvin and Emma (Hastings) O"Neal.
He worked as a truck driver for Hellmans Paving in Jarrettsville, Md., for several years before retirement.
Mr. O"Neal served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma (Hoopargarden) O"Neal.
Mr. O"Neal is survived by two sons, Edward W. O"Neal and his wife Karen of Smyrna, and David L. O"Neal of Flat Rock, Mich.; three sisters, Juanita Spence of Monroe, Ga., Edith Wilson of Waterfall, Pa., and Becky Camp of Conyers, Ga.; two brothers, Vick O"Neal of Manns Choice, Pa., and Perry O"Neal of Waterfall; two grandchildren, David and Jonathan; and a step-grandson, Phillip.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Legion Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 345, Smyrna, DE 19977.
