June F. Little, 84

HARRINGTON - June F. Little, died Thursday, October 15, 2009, in Kent General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was 84. Mrs. Little was born March 27, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Lee Felton and Claudia Chambers Jenkins. During World War II she worked in the latex factory. She was a bookkeeper at Marty's Mobile Homes and she had also sold Avon products for 40 years. Mrs. Little had lived in the Little Creek/Dover area most of her life. She was a member of the Little Creek United Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday School Superintendent and Choir director. Mrs. Little was a registered Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church. Bible study was her passion in her later years. Mrs. Little was also President of the Federation of Republican Women for the State of Delaware. She was a trustee for The Burton Foundation. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Little Jr., October 7, 1986; and her brother, Robert Felton. She is survived by her son, Larry R. Little and his wife Dr. Sharon Little of Harrington; three daughters, Mary Skaggs and her husband Harry of Des Moines, Iowa, Anita Gery and her husband Craig "Doc" of Wilmington, Susan Scarborough and her husband Duane of Strasburg, Pa.; and six grandchildren, Christie and Claudia Little, Kris Scarborough, William and David Crandell and Lanie Peden. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday October 18, 2009, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Little Creek United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 476, Little Creek, DE 19961.
