Julia E. Astfalk, 96

MILFORD - Julia E. Astfalk of Milford died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in her home. She was 96.

She is survived by a sister, Frances Smith of Turnersville, N.J.; a son and a daughter-in-law, Frank and Virginia Astfalk of North East, Md.; a daughter, Julia Snyder of Milford; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Philip J. Astfalk.

She worked for 18 years as a registered nurse for Dr. Felix Mick in Milford.

Mrs. Astfalk was a member of the Milford Senior Center, serving on the board and volunteering for many committees, and was the first woman on the Milford Senior Volunteer Police Force.

Services will be at a later date in Calvary Presbyterian Church, Wilmington.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
