GEORGETOWN - Judith S. Widdowson, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center. Judith was a loan officer with Community Bank in Lewes for the past seven years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Judith was a member of Crossroad Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Mildred (Bumm) Short; a son, Allen Mumford; and brother, Thomas Short. Judith is survived by a daughter, Carla Whaley and fiancé Jason Miller, of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Richard, Theodore and Beth Whaley; and good friends, Tom and Karen Monroe, also of Georgetown. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, De 19963.
