REHOBOTH BEACH - Josephine Norma (Hill) Holt of Rehoboth Beach passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 57.

She was born March 14, 1950, in Milford, daughter of the late Joseph Hill and Beatrice (Ziegenfuss) Hill of Lewes, formerly of Georgetown.

Mrs. Holt was raised in Georgetown, and married right out of high school on Dec. 21, 1968, to her husband of 39 years.

Early on, she worked at Henry's Restaurant in Georgetown, Dresco Clothing Factory in Lewes and at Old Salt Seafood.

For the last 30 years, she worked in the dietary department at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.

Mrs. Holt loved gardening and was a firm believer in recycling.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband Gilbert E. Holt; two sons, Gilbert Edward Holt Jr. of Nassau and Geoffery Tyler Holt of Rehoboth Beach; her daughter, Gloria Elaine Holt of Lewes; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; her brother, Melvin Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will 2 p.m. Monday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour prior to services and from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Charlie Arnold officiating.

Entombment will be at Bethel Methodist Mausoleum, Lewes.

Flowers will be accepted.

Memorial contributions may be made to Delaware District 3 Little League, Spicer Street, Georgetown, DE 19947; or to Lewes Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 225, Lewes, DE 19958.
