Durham-Corona, 60 NEW CASTLE - Josephine Durham-Corona of New Castle, Delaware formerly of Marydel passed away peacefully Saturday, March 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. Josephine was born Oct. 26, 1953 in Berlin, Md. and raised in southern Delaware, to the late Robert W. Donaway, Sr. and Helen J. Daisey Donaway. She had worked as a chef at DuPont Country Club for 20 years, then transferred to the Hotel Dupont where she worked in housekeeping. Josephine enjoyed cooking, yard sales, fishing, hunting, gardening and going to Delaware Park, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her significant other Isaias Garcia Chi, family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Chrissy Lynn Durham; sister, Della Mae Donaway and her ex-husband and friend William K. Durham. She is survived by sons, Drisco Durham and his wife Jennifer of Hartly, Baron Durham and his wife Danielle and Raymond "Bull" Durham all of Smyrna; brothers, Robert W. Donaway, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Millsboro; sisters, Delores Jean Donaway Hastings of Laurel and Louise Donaway- Marsh of Angola; aunts, Hilda Daisey Timmons of Georgetown and Rada Donaway Bowden of Frankford; grandchildren, Zachary, Jonathan, Raymond, Jr., Brianna, Schuyler and Easton; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many other extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
