HARTLY - Joseph Vodvarka of passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born March 4, 1952, in Dover, Del., the son of the late Joseph S. and Mildred Vodvarka.
He worked for the National Automatic Sprinkler Industry (Local 669) for 35 years. He retired in 2009.
Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, playing slow pitch softball, taking trips to Michigan, watching his granddaughters play softball, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy R. Vodvarka.
He is survived by his three daughters, Laura V. Massey and her husband Mark of Smyrna, Del., Ashley J. Johnson and her husband Kyle of Clayton, Del., and Traci J. Brown and her husband William of Clayton, Del.; six grandchildren, Paisley and Bristol Massey, Avery and Quinn Johnson, and Emersyn and Maddox Brown; one sister, Nancy Vodvarka and her partner Jim Bob of Hartly; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna, Del. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover, Del.
