DOVER - Joseph Linwood Clark, II passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Clark was born September 7, 1960 in Dover to the late Herbert Edward Clark and Thelma Marie Gibbs Clark.
He was a correctional officer for the State of Delaware for over 10 years retiring in 2008. Mr. Clark enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always was telling jokes trying to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed cooking and watching to see how much people enjoyed it. Mr. Clark enjoyed cooking for others so much he wanted to someday have a food truck so he could feed many more people. He would cook and give food to the local neighborhood mailman, the homeless that he would see on the street, to a mother in need when the stores had no meats, and to many friends and family members. Mr. Clark enjoyed making others happy. He loved going fishing, camping, working on various projects, watching his favorite football team the LA Rams play, but most of all he enjoyed helping others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph L. Clark, III; brother, Eddie Clark; and sister, Connie Caple.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy Mixon Clark of Dover; children, Amanda McDuffie and her husband, Glenn of Levels, WV, Christopher Altman of Clayton, Daylyn Mora and Breyden Clark both of Dover; sisters, Sandra Filbert and Lorna Terrell both of N. Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Nathan, Kandi, Alanna, Caleb, Jada, Nevaeh, Sereniti and Jaylah.
Services will be at a later date due to covid. The family will be having a celebration of life sometime in the late spring.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Myasthenia Gravis foundation.
Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
