Joseph J. Huffman, 71

DOVER - Joseph J. Huffman, of Dover, went home to his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, March 27, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 71.

Joseph was born April 19, 1936, in Bishop, Md., son of the late Joseph and Lenna (Teter) Huffman.

He graduated from Buckingham High School, Berlin, Md., class of 1954.

Joseph served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

After serving in the military, he worked as a cook for about 10 years until employment with Simplex Tim Clocks in sales and service.

Mr. Huffman was presently working part time in deliveries for Manlove Auto Parts of Smyrna.

He was a faithful and dedicated member of Capitol Baptist Church of Dover and loved to share his faith and love in the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Anna Huffman; a son, Chris Huffman and his wife Kim of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, William Huffman of El Paso, Texas; his cousin and best friend, Harry Viven of Camden; a grandson, Cole Huffman; extended family, Earl Jones of Dagsboro, Shannon Minner of Selbyville and Edith Cariaso of Dagsboro; grandchildren, Todd Griffen, Kelly Owens, John Pena and Christopher Cariaso; great-grandchildren, Christopher Cariaso Jr. and Christian Cariaso; and an extended church family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Ave., Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.

A private burial will follow in Spence Baptist Church Cemetery, Snow Hill, Md.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Capitol Baptist Church, 401 Kesselring Ave., Dover, DE 19904.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
