
Joseph F. Starzynski, 95
DOVER - Joseph F. Starzynski passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Mr. Starzynski was born June 16, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank Stanley and Anna Starzynski.
He served in the United States Air Corp. transitioning into the United States Air Force. Serving a total of 29 years as Super Intendent for Flightline Maintenance, as well as serving in World War II, Vietnam and Korean Wars and retired in 1977.
After his military career he worked for General Metal Craft in Dover for 15 years as a Shear Machine Operator, retiring in 1992. He also worked for the Delaware State News as a dock coordinator.
He volunteered at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover for BINGO and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed bowling, at Brunswick, Dover Bowl and Dover Air Force Base, and ABC Tournaments and won many awards.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his son, Michael in 1970; and his wife, Audreymae in 2007.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Roe (Kevin), JoAnne Kyle (Jim); his grandchildren, Jessiy Swift, JD Squier (Joanne), Melissa Crawford, Ashley Burris; his great grandchildren, Taylor Reynolds (Justin), Anthony Perone, Ryan Perone, Kaileigh Perone, Kaleb Nobles, Luke Squier; and his two great great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, May 17,2023 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10-11. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
