Duke, III, 25 SEAFORD - Joseph Councell Duke, III, "Trey" passed away on June 28, 2015 in Gunnison, Colo. Trey was born on June 18, 1990 in Columbia, Md. and grew up in Seaford, Del. He attended Sussex Tech High School and Del-Tech Community College in Georgetown. He worked for Casa Dileo, Bess' Buds and with his dad at Coastal Soil Consultants. Trey moved to Crested Butte, Colorado in 2012. He was employed at various restaurants in Colo., his favorite being Maxwell's Steakhouse. Snowboarding, mountain climbing, skateboarding, playing guitar and hiking were Trey's passions. His favorite place to hike was with his dad and brother at Big Meadows in Shenandoah. He especially enjoyed family beach and ski vacations. Trey had a true love and deep appreciation for music. Trey had many friends and was known for giving really great advice. He was a complex thinker, had phenomenal insight and was the hardest working young man who gave every task 100 percent. He was a gentle soul, kind and caring, with a deep love for his family. He is survived by his parents, Joseph Councell Duke, Jr. and Beth Ann Duke; his sister, Lisa Workman; niece, Savannah and nephews, Kaden and Jase Workman; his brother, Jake Duke; and sister, Olivia Duke; paternal grandparents, Joseph Councell and Eileen Duke; maternal grandparents, Jerauld and Mildred Kluckman and his treasured girlfriend, Nathalie Holub. Trey has many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, Del., where friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown, Del.
