Joseph Consalo Jr., 79

Joseph Consalo Jr. of Bridgeville died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 79.

Mr. Consalo was born in Marlton, N.J., son of the late Laura Shuhart and Joseph Consalo Sr.

He was a farmer and an avid hunter.

Mr. Consalo was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford, the Men's Auxiliary of Virgil Wilson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4961, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1728 in Seaford.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda (Holleger) Consalo; a daughter, Diane C. Coley of Bridgeville; a son, Lindale Semans of Bridgeville; three brothers, Vincent Consalo of Orange City, Fla., Harry Consalo of Magnolia, and Edward Consalo of Lebanon, Pa.; five sisters, Mildred Pollock of Brooklawn, N.J., Laura Wray of Winter Park, Fla., Doris Semans of Magnolia, Rita Beihl of Atworth, Ga., and Dottie Smith of Fort Pierce, Fla.; three granddaughters, Melissa Phelps, Donna Perrin and Nicole DiPadova; and five great-grandchildren, Dana, Joseph, Ashley, Sean and Bryanna.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Salisbury (Md.) Office, 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801; or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163.
