MILLINGTON, Md. - John W. Yeager passed away on Oct. 17, 2018.
Johnny was born on May 4, 1948, son of the late Henry and Lucy Pearson Yeager. He was born and raised on a farm in Queen Anne's County, where he learned to farm with his father. Johnny had worked as a logger for Bob Puppe for over 20 years and was currently working at Schauber's Lumber and Sawmill. He loved hunting and farming.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, David Pearson, Raymond Yeager and Irving Yeager.
Johnny is survived by his sisters and brothers, Doris Gross (Winton) of Venus, Fla., Marian Embert (Calvin) of Sudlersville, Md., Shirley Ennis (Robert) of Smyrna, William Yeager (Dorothy) of Goldsboro, Md., Henry Yeager (June) of Sudlersville, Md. and Robert Yeager (Dottie) of Galena, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Burial will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery.
