SMYRNA - John R. "Reggie" Greenage, of Smyrna, went to meet Jesus on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 55.

Mr. Greenage was born April 21, 1953, in Easton, Md., to the late Thomas Greenage and Annabelle (Sammons) Greenage.

He worked as a truck driver for Dover Trucking, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of the Forest Grove SDA Church in Dover and volunteered at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover.

Mr. Greenage enjoyed gardening, working on his computer and spending time with his wife, children and family.

Mr. Greenage's biggest joys were calling and visiting family and friends, and the family pets, Shy and Precious.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and William Greenage; and a best friend, Harvey Seeney.

Upon Annabelle's death, Dorothy Seeney became Mr. Greenage's mother figure.

Mr. Greenage is survived by his wife of 29 years, Anna M. (Humphries) Greenage, his daughter, Michelle Greenage, and his son, John Greenage Jr., all of Smyrna; his brothers and sisters-in-law; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Kidney Fund, 1100 Lovering Ave., Wilmington, DE 19806-3273.

Local arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapel, Dover.
