John P. Waldon Jr.

DOVER - John P. Waldon Jr., died March, 15, 2009. He was born April 8,1938, to the late John P. and Theola Waldon Sr., and grew up in the Philadelphia, Pa., area with one sister, Fluretta McMillon; and two brothers, Walter Waldon Sr. and Gregory B. Waldon. "Brother," as he was affectionately referred to, attended John Bartram High School, class of 1955, and served in the Army branch of the military. John had an accomplished life in sports, medicine and education; all of which led him from Philadelphia, Pa., to California, Atlanta, Ga., and ultimately Delaware. He is survived by John III, Wanda and Zenita (Niki). He will be remembered in love as a fighter and appreciated as he now peacefully rests. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
