John Merryman Naylor II

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - John Merryman Naylor II, of Ellensburg, Wash., formerly of Smyrna, Del., passed away in Bloomfield, N.M., on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. He was 57. Mr. Naylor was born May 10, 1954, in Salisbury, Md., the son of the late John M. Naylor, Sr. and Mary Feinauer of Media, Pa., formerly of Smyrna, Del. Mr. Naylor was a truck driver for 36 years. He enjoyed driving his ATV into the wilderness and taking wildlife photographs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his first wife, Lisa, and their three children, John M. Naylor III and his wife Amber, of Smyrna, Del., Candice M. Naylor Tate and her husband Van of Stevensville, Md., and Matthew M. Naylor of Smyrna, Del. He is also survived by five brothers, Dave, Paul, Matt, Tom and Luke; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Mitch, Caden, Colin, Trinity, Maci, Lydia and Luke; his former wife, Chris Simpson Naylor of Washington; and his many close and dear friends throughout the country that were his extended family. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Burial will be held privately by the family in Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that John would have liked contributions be made to a wildlife conservation fund of your choice.
