John Francis Mullins, 70

DOVER - John Francis Mullins, of Dover, formerly of Somers, N.Y., passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.

John was born March 9, 1938, in New York, son of the late John and Eva (Sadler) Mullins.

He worked for Turner and Harrison Local 38 in New York as a sheet metal worker.

John enjoyed working on old cars and carving birds.

He was a Civil War buff and an avid NASCAR fan.

John was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and his family was his life.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Brendan Mullins.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna Mullins; a son, Brian Mullins and his wife Suzanne of Mahopac, N.Y.; three daughters, Lisa Mullins of Madison, Tenn., Laura Kniffen and her husband Garry of New Paltz, N.Y., and Linda Bourgeois and her husband Mike of Yorktown, N.Y.; a sister, Priscilla Maesta of Denver.; and seven grandchildren, Liam, Ryan, Sean, Sammy, Jake, Jessica and Kimberly.

A service of family sharing will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House, 1901 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
