DOVER - John E. 'Jack' Feaster of Dover, died Thurs., Jan. 13, 2011, at home. He was 87. Mr. Feaster was born in 1923, in Wilmington, to the late Walter C. Feaster and Louella Irene Vandegrift Feaster. He enlisted in the Navy and served as a quartermaster from 1943 to 1945. He retired from DuPont in 1985, after working 30 years as a mechanical draftsman. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed performing in Gilbert and Sullivan shows with the Arden Singers and sailing and traveling with his wife. His wife of 64 years, Diantha 'Danny' Feaster, passed away January 14, 2011. Mr. Feaster is survived by sons, John Feaster, Jr. and wife Laura of Chesapeake City, Md, David Feaster and wife Suzanne of Landenberg, Pa, James Feaster of Millsboro, and Dan Feaster and wife Anita of Salisbury, Md; ten grandchidren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held noon, Thurs., Jan. 20, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Disabled American Veterans, attn.
