SMYRNA - John C.M. Sullivan, age 72, of Smyrna, passed away on January 27, 2016 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 28, 1943 in Hartford, Conn., the son of the late John and Dorathea Sullivan. He served his country with honor in the US Navy. He was also in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr. Sullivan retired after many years of owning his printing business, Envelopes & More, Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Lodge and the Hartford Club. John enjoyed woodworking and boating. He had a constant quest for knowledge throughout his life. He had a passion for new experiences and a love for traveling. He cherished the friendships that he made with the members of the Dover Amish community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Timothy. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two children, Michael K. Sullivan (Liz) and Christin Anzalotti (Mike); two step children, Dawn Kemery and Joel Crane (Mary); seven grandchildren, Taylor, Matt, Erin, Lauren, Molly, Maria and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, with a visitation period a half hour before. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
