Joanne F. Lyons, 70

DOVER - Joanne F. Lyons of Dover died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at her son"s home, Dover. She was 70.

Mrs. Lyons was born Jan. 4, 1937, in Charlestown, Mass., to the late John W. and Margaret (Hampstead) Lyons.

Mrs. Lyons worked for several years as a sales clerk for Card-A-Roma in Dover.

She loved being with her family and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrick Lyons, on March 17, 1998.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Lyons of Chicago, and Terrence Lyons and his wife Tanya of Dover; her brother, Robert Lyons of Old Town, Maine; and three grandchildren, Stephen Lyons, Christopher Bower and Jennifer Lyons.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.

Interment will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
