MAGNOLIA - Jill Traegler of Magnolia, slipped into the presence of the Lord Friday, August 28, 2015 at Kent General Hospital. She was 85. Mrs. Traegler was born February 25, 1930 in Columbus, Georgia to the late J. Iverson Caldwell and Erin Norris Caldwell. She had grown up in Auburn, Alabama. Mrs. Traegler attended Converse College in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. She was a homemaker and was a Minister of Music in many churches including churches in Mississippi, Alabama and Delaware. Mrs. Traegler enjoyed sewing. She was a current member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church and a former member of the Lower Delaware Machine Knitting Club and the Caesar Rodney High School Band Parents. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John R. Traegler, Sr. of Magnolia; sons, John R. Traegler, Jr. (Kathleen) of Lexington, S.C., James W. Traegler (Carol) of Dover; daughters, Judy Brill (Don) of Bath, N.Y. and Jayne Randle (John) of Dover; grandchildren, Robert (Christine) Presler, Abby and Nick Traegler, Amanda (Jon) Mitchell, Ben and Dillan Young; great granddaughter, Julia Presler. Visitations will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover and Friday, September 4, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. following the visitation at the church. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Independent Bible Fellowship Church. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
