GREENWOOD - Jessica L. Hughes passed away at home on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018.
Jessica worked as a cook at Shawnee Country Store, and had previously worked at Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth.
Jessica was a fun-loving and free-spirited soul. She loved being at the beach and enjoyed spending time with her family camping, fishing and helping her dad at the dirt track. She was always ready for an adventure and especially loved the time spent with her children. Jessica was full of life and lived her own life in her own way.
Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Richard Feague; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Lorraine Walls; and her paternal grandmother, Catherine Bythway.
She is survived by her loving parents, John M. and Clair H. (Walls) Hughes; a son, Richard McDougall and his father, Brad McDougall; a daughter, Willow Rose Hughes and her father, Jamie Downes; a brother, Jeremy Hughes and his partner Roger Thomas; paternal grandmother, Janet Feague; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, DE 19963. Casual attire is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Jessica's memory to: Delmarva Teen Challenge, Home of Hope Women's and Children's Center, ATTN: Director of Administration, PO Box 1271, Seaford, DE 19973.
