DOVER - Jerry Lee Keller, Sr. of Dover, passed away April 23, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore at the age of 65. He proudly served his country from 1979 to 2002 in the US Army Reserve. He was also a Civil Service worker for 33 years. After retiring from Civil Service, he worked for the State of Delaware for ten years. He was actively involved with the Delaware Democratic Party and considered himself to be a Politian; enjoying debates with many elected officials in Delaware and nationally. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lorie; his son, Robert Gerald Keller; his sister, Brenda Keller Owens; his brother, Robert T. Keller, Jr.; his half-brother, William Carter; his niece, Jaclyn Owens Securcher; two nephews, Chuck Owens and Andrew Keller; and two uncles, Laine Keller and Jimmy Keller. A viewing will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. Burial will be private.
