Jeri M. (Aiken) Garber, 36 FELTON - Jeri M. (Aiken) Garber, age 36, of Felton, passed away in her sleep on May 26, 2010. She was born May 17, 1974, at Ellsworth A.F.B., South Dakota, to Andy and Jean Aiken. She was the second of three siblings, leaving behind her older brother Andy Aiken Jr. and her younger sister Brandy Burham and spouse Danny. On Feb. 12, 2000, she married her longtime love, Christopher M. Garber and joyously welcomed their daughter Faith Marie Garber, just four years ago. After graduating from CR High School in 1992 she worked for Dentsply Caulk until she became disabled. The joy of her life was being Mommy to her daughter Faith and spending time with her family, especially their nieces and nephews, Hope, Dru, Ann Marie, Jason Edward, Kierstin, Autumn, and Gabby, has been some of her most smiling moments. Jeri was an avid sports fan, especially the Eagles, Phillies, and Orioles. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting, and making s'mores around a fire for the kids she so adored. She comes from a very large family who will love and remember her for all the love she gave. She is survived by a host of relatives and friends. Some of those closest to her include her dear grandmother, Alice M. Blair of Dover; her in-laws, Edward and Wanda Garber of Pickering Beach, and Iris and Jonathan Kamanns of Narvon, Pa., as well as sister-in-law, Melissa and her spouse John, also from Narvon. Jeri also leaves behind a special aunt, Joan M. Buxton of Dover; two close uncles, Danny Blair of Dover, and Roger Aikens of Gastionia, N.C.; and her best friend, Karla Akmentins of Woodside. Though Jeri only had one sister by birth, she considered her cousin one as well, Kelly M. Scarbriel and spouse Master Sergeant Matthew Scarbriel of Scott Air Force Base, Ill., along with their children Kortney, Madison, and Alyssa. While she was preceded in death by many relatives who welcomed her home, most recently was her cousin Kelly Richter and brother-in-law, Jason Garber. Memorial Services will be held for all those who wish to attend, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 237 Lebanon Road, Dover, Del. Cremation services will be provided by Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover (320-734-4620). In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Trader Funeral Home on behalf of Jeri M. Garber to help offset cost. Should flowers or condolence be sent, please forward to Aiken's/Garber's, 766 Andrews Lake Road, Felton, DE 19943.
