Camden - Jeffrey R. Starke passed away peacefully, June 26, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jeff was the owner of All Rid & Starke Pest Control for the past 25 years. He was a member of the N.R.A., and Republicans for America. He enjoyed putting on Christmas Programs for the Elderly annually, and had a place in his heart to care for others that were often ignored by society. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed playing horseshoes, singing, playing chess, and drawing.
He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Starke; a grandson, Matthew Watkins; and an uncle, Michael Starke.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dee (Steele) Starke; his mother, Marie (LaFond) Starke, of Dover; his children, Jeffrey R. Starke, Jr. and wife, Jackie, of Wilmington, Penny Thorpe, of Camden, Melissa Ann Watkins and husband, Matthew, of Hockessin, Alex Starke and Emma Lee Starke, both of Camden; his siblings, Pat Starke, of Frederica, Richard Starke and companion, David Winn, of Sommerville, Mass., Kenneth Starke and wife, Jody, of Camden and Lisa Pillman and husband, Patrick, of Dover; his grandchildren, Kylie, Skyler, Mia, Aedan, Amanda, Brittany, and J.B.; six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Crowe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018, in St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Great Hall, 425 North Dupont Highway, Dover; where family and friends may gather from 12:30-1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
