Jeffrey Carl Sheppard

HARRINGTON - Jeffery Carl Sheppard passed away, at home, surrounded by family, on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. Mr. Sheppard was born Jan. 10, 1958 in Dover, to the late Homer Sheppard and Vermie Reed Sheppard. He worked for Beebe Hospital as a security attendant for 18 years. Mr. Sheppard had received his Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Delaware Tech. He was a huge Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers fan. Mr. Sheppard enjoyed online fantasy games and collecting baseball cards. Mr. Sheppard is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patricia Ann Coffin Sheppard, of Harrington; son, Andy Sheppard and his girlfriend, Sarah, of Felton; stepson, Matthew Coffin, of Millsboro; siblings, Stanley Sheppard, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Linda Skinner and her husband, Jerry, of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, Dayna and her husband, Mike Harrell, Jennifer and her husband, Daniel Werner, and Brian and his wife, LaChecha Sheppard; great-nieces and nephews, Dawson and Harper and Lilyana. Mr. Sheppard's Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 190 Raughley Hill Road, Harrington, DE 19952. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
