CLAYTON - Jean C. Wothers of Clayton died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 73.
Mrs. Wothers was born Dec. 7, 1933, in Millington, Md., daughter of the late Wesley and Hazel (Short) Conley.
She worked as a secretary at the North Elementary School, Smyrna, for 26 years before retirement.
She took her greatest joy from her children and family.
Mrs. Wothers was a past treasurer for the Kent County Educational Secretaries Association and a member of Downs Chapel Church and the Clayton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father to her children, Samuel Lee Dulin; and a daughter, Terri Lou Dulin.
She is survived by her husband, F. Donald Wothers; five children and their spouses, Samuel Lee and Lea Dulin of Clayton, Margie (Dulin) and Steve Sinclair of Clayton, Bonnie and Rob Sampere of Virginia Beach, Va., William David and Christine Dulin of Clayton and Susan and John Hughes of Smyrna; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jane and Bob Dunning and Florence and Donald Dulin, all of Clayton; a brother and a sister-in-law, Wesley and Pat Conley of Clayton; eight grandchildren, Samuel Lee Dulin III, Kimberly Wheatley, Crystal Sweeney, Jimmy Keiser, Carey Dulin, Candace Dulin, Jessica Hughes and Jacob Hughes; and three great-grandchildren, Allison Wheatley, Ryan Wheatley and Kaylee Dulin.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
