MILFORD - Jean C. Kimmey, of Milford, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in the Country Rest Home, Greenwood. She was 81.
Jean was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Milford, to the late Archibald and Hilda (Deputy) Mills.
She was a homemaker most of her life but had worked as a salesperson with Chandelier Fashions in Milford from 1966 to 1970.
Jean enjoyed knitting, reading and bowling, having once belonged to a local league.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Kimmey, in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy K. and Dolphus Stevenson of Milford; two grandsons, Scott Stevenson and Todd Stevenson and his wife Christy, all of Milford; and four great-grandchildren, Brett Stevenson, Keith Stevenson, Bryce Stevenson and Natalie Stevenson.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Milford Community Cemetery, North Walnut Street.
Burial will follow the service.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 31038 Country Garden Blvd,, Suite D2, Country Gardens, U.S. 113, Dagsboro, DE, 19939.
