LITTLETON, Colo. - Janet P. Call, 85, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Smyrna, Del., passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, at her home with family by her side. Wife of the late Carson B. Call, she is survived by her son, Robert B. Call of Littleton, Lisa (his wife); grandsons, Ryan, Michael, Steven, and Patrick; and great-granddaughter, Lyvia Joy. Janet was born in Dover, Del., on March 14, 1926. The daughter of Ruth Wallen Pyle and William A.F. Pyle of Smyrna, she graduated from John Bassett Moore HS in Smyrna in 1944, attended Beacom College, and married Corp. Carson Call of the US Army Corp Saturday, the third of July, 1948 at Scott Field near Bellville, Ill. Son, "Bob," was born March 26, 1953, in Dover, Del. Janet worked at various positions in banking and the Smyrna School District before retiring in 1986 to Littleton, Colo., where she enjoyed her four grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday May 12, in Smyrna, at Asbury United Methodist Church with internment at Odd Fellows Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Littleton early August after her grandson Michael returns from deployment in Afghanistan.
