FELTON - Janet Louise Bishop passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Janet was born in Dover, Delaware on March 23, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gladys Marvel; her husband, Jacob Bishop; her brothers, Jack Marvel, Henry Marvel; her sister-in-law, Barbara Marvel.
Janet was a member of the Red Hatters. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Maryland. Janet was a lifelong resident of the area.
She is survived by her sons, Dale Bishop (Donna), Daniel Bishop (Joy), David Bishop (Greta); her brother, Donald Marvel (Joanne); her sister-in-law, Margaret Marvel; her grandchildren, Danielle Bishop, Cole Bishop, Ryan Bishop, Amber Bishop, Lisa Bishop, Megan Bishop, Logan Field (Jon), Allison Bishop, Julie Herron (Kyle), Bryan Bishop, Kyle Bishop (Sarah), Jacob Bishop and Wade Bishop (Mel); and her 15 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Maryland. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, Maryland.
