DOVER, DE - Janet Ellen Marinucci passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Center at Eden Hill.
She was born August 20, 1939, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to the late Walter Fuller and Emily Fenello.
Mrs. Marinucci was an active member of the Dover Air Force Base Catholic Church as a Lay Eucharistic Minister and Lector for many years. In addition to raising her family and making the family home, she worked many years as a social worker for, The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Delaware. Mrs. Marinucci also served as a Adjunct Faculty Member for Delaware Technical and Community College. As well as being active in the Dover community, Jan enjoyed travelling with her husband, when she was not spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelynn Marinucci-Cabrera; sister, Karen Matuska; and brother, Raymond Fuller.
Mrs. Marinucci is survived by her husband of 65 years, Salvatore "Sam" Marinucci; daughters, Robynn Schlup (Mike), Mary Ellen "Mimi" Marinucci; and her son, John Marinucci (Michele). Mrs. Marinucci was blessed with five grandsons and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 3 p.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday November 6, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover, Delaware. Prayer vigil will begin at 4 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, Delaware. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware and/or the Air Mobility Command Museum at DAFB.
